Braeburn was discovered more than 60 years ago as a chance seedling in New Zealand, probably Cox Orange is also included as a parent variety.
Braeburn therefore also needs a warm climate, like here in Baden. The harvest usually begins only at the beginning of October. Braeburn is characterized by a firm flesh and a fruity refreshing taste.
